The Masterclass includes:


Score Reading and Analysis: Learning to read complex, multi-staff orchestral scores, understand transposing instruments, and internalise the harmonic and structural layout of a piece.

Baton Technique and Gesture: Practising physical movements, beat patterns, cueing, and non-verbal communication (using a baton, facial expressions, and body language) to convey tempo, dynamics, and expression.

Rehearsal Techniques: Developing efficient communication and leadership skills to correct mistakes, manage time, and guide an orchestra through a piece efficiently during limited rehearsal periods.

Music History and Performance Practice: Studying stylistic nuances across different eras (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary) to ensure historically informed interpretations.
